A lot of people who are either in or
who are familiar with the bodybuilding world seem to be making a huge fuss
about steroid use in the sport and culture. I can kind of understand why people
have their panties in a bunch, because the idea of sport in and of itself is
supposed to be that you have achieved your athletic prowess through nothing but
hard work. The idea of someone using steroids seems like one is using
artificial means to some people. You especially don't want to try that mess in
the Olympics. You saw what happened to Marian Jones.
From a strictly aesthetic and
entertainment perspective though, I really could give two shits about
bodybuilders that use steroids, because all I care about is the end result,
which is getting to see beautiful bodies. I'm sure a wide majority of the
general public feels the same way too. I admit that I don't know a whole lot
about steroids, but what I do feel is that there are a good number of people
that use them, but there's also a good number of people that don't. It annoys
me when go online and read comments from people on pictures of bodybuilders and
fitness models, where they just accuse any and all the people they see of
steroid use. Not everybody is on steroids; there is such a thing as hard work
and dedication. I think that there are people out in the world that don't know
what that is, because it seems that most of the people that make those comments
are fat folk.
My final thought on the matter is
this-as long as you know what you're doing to your body, it's all fair game in
my book.
