Aspiring model and former Army vet Eric Oroc hails from the island of Oahu, in Hawai'i. See what he's all about, and get some insight into how he keeps fit, in our Fit And Legit exclusive interview, with photo shoot done by Darron Bruce Photography, after the jump.
Fit And Legit: So tell us you're name and where you're from.
Eric: Hello, my name is Eric, born and raised here in Hawaii.
FAL: What made you want to get into modeling?
Eric: Some friends of mine actually suggested that I get into it, so I decided to give it a try.
FAL: Have you, or do you now, play any sports?
Eric: I played a lot of sports growing up, but mostly I just tried to stay active doing stuff outdoors so that I could stay out of the house.
FAL: I noticed you have some very interesting tattoos. Can you explain what some of their meanings are?
Eric: The two on my fore arm are koi fish, and they represent my mother and my father. The fish are swimming up to the upper part of my arm to the crane, which symbolizes longevity. On my left pec is the phoenix, which means life after death. Starting on my right pec are my Polynesian tattoos. The ones going down my left arm are symbols that mean unity and teamwork, and then on my left fore arm here are the Hawaiian islands, because this is the place that I call home.
FAL: What are some things that you do to stay in shape?
Eric: I do a lot of cross fit, as well as a lot of high endurance cardio. I like to get a lot of swimming in too in the ocean.
FAL: What are some things that you eat to maintain your physique?
Eric: I just try to get a lot of protein in. On days when I'm going to be doing a lot of cardio, I try to carb up. I also try to stay away from fats and sugars, and try to drink a lot of water and get in my electrolytes.
FAL: What are some of your career goals?
Eric: I just got out of the military, ten years with four deployments. I'm planning on going back to school to study graphic design, or either go into fire fighting to be a fire man.
FAL: What's the best way to get a hold of you if people want to book you for modeling gigs?
Eric: The best way to get a hold of me is through my e-mail, ericoroc@yahoo.com.
FAL: Alright, thank you Eric.
Eric: No problem.
