7 Foods That Will Burn Your Fat

Don't get me wrong, diet and exercise are the way to go to get your body right and tight. I'm also a big advocate to cardio. However, very few people know that one of the most effective ways to lose that stubborn body fat isn't necessarily to turn up the notch on your workout, but rather to adjust the way you eat. Even fewer people know that there are some very specific foods that will, quite little literally, cause you to burn fat, even in your sleep! Below, I'll share with you 7 such food items.

1) Oatmeal
Oatmeal is crammed full of fat-blasting fiber. They don't just keep you feeling full longer, but they also keep your blood sugar levels in check by keeping you from releasing too much insulin, which is the hormone that tells your body to store fat.

2) Blue Berries
These little blue suckers right here have special antioxidants which boost your energy levels. They also carry a hefty fiber and tannin combo, which reduces inflammation of the digestive systems, helping you shed that unwanted bloat.

3) Coconut Oil
Nutritionists all over have found a correlation between coconut oil and increased metabolism, which is something that will burn fat. It's also good for your heart.

4) Greek Yogurt
Greek yogurt has live digestive cultures, which boost immune strength and assist in healthy digestion. Not to mention it's high in protein, and you can add it to almost any kind of snack or meal and kick that belly bloat's a## in the process.

5) Wild Salmon

Salmon is a wonderful essential fatty acid and protein source. It also decreases the body's insulin resistance and balances blood sugar, which lessens food cravings while encouraging calorie burn.

6) Almonds
Almonds aren't just a metabolism boosting source of protein, they're a filling snack too!

7) Spinach

Spinach is known as the “super food” due to the fact that it’s packed with vitamins and nutrients—like beta carotene, vitamin C, calcium, folate, and magnesium. Like a good pair of jeans, they go with anything too, like salads, omelets, sandwiches, and even smoothies.
