Con Demetriou - Chasing The Dream

Constantinos "Con" Demetriou was born in Australia and grew up on a farm about an hour away west of Sydney. Most of his time growing up was spent doing hard labor farm work, and it was this that ended up being the foundation for his body to build upon. Noticing that his body was getting stronger from all the farm work, and having an interest in human performance and sports, he decided to try his hand at a mixture of sports at school, and excelled at all of them.

At the age of sixteen he began bodybuilding, and when he began competing, he was unsure of how his endeavors would turn out, but to his surprise, he ended up winning his first competition, the Teenage Mr. Western Suburbs. He competed a week later and won again, and then won the week after that! Excited at the pace he was going, he decided to go into the big one, the Teenage Mr. Australia. Even though he was exhausted from doing three competitions in a row, he kept his conditioning on point and ended up winning the Teenage Mr. Australia.

Con was elated at the astonishing success he was leading with his competitions. Despite this though, he began to start feeling a bit burned out because he had dedicated so much time to the sport that he didn't leave room for much else. This was when he decided to take a break from bodybuilding in order to pursue other interests. This took the form of him opening up a recreation center, which including activities in dancing, singing, acting, yoga, boxing, wrestling, and many more. Con delved into all these activities himself and just focused on enjoying himself.

After eleven years from being away from bodybuilding, Con began to realize that it was still in his blood, and at the age of thirty he decided to make his comeback and compete again. Since his return, he has taken the title at the Heavyweight Mr. Australia, the Super Heavyweight Mr. Australia, the Elite Mr. Australia, and has also turned pro. Other than his undying passion for the sport, he took encouragement from Ed Corney, who began his bodybuilding career at thirty seven. He figured that if Corney could start at thirty seven, then surely he could return and continue to follow his dream at thirty three.

What I love about Con is the denseness of his physique, along with the gorgeous lines and his artistic presentation. His body is a thick and meaty muscle masterpiece, and he shows the sexiness of it brilliantly. This is one muscle champion who is on his game.
