Phil Heath is an absolutely phenomenal athlete and such a joy to watch in action. I don't think I've ever seen a bodybuilder that is more handsome, with as much charm and charisma, as this guy. Plus with skin like golden butter cream, and a body rippling with muscle, what's not to love?
Phil started out as a basketball player in high school, and also played in college. He eventually made the transition from basketball training to bodybuilding training after being persuaded by some friends of his. He quickly became hooked and loved how the discipline needed to succeed in basketball was similar to the discipline needed to succeed in bodybuilding.
Excited about the change in his body, he entered his first bodybuilding competition, the NPC Northern Colorado, and won the Men's Novice and Open Overall title. He has since went on to win many other titles, including the NPC USA's (where he won his pro card), the IFBB New York Pro, and the IFBB Iron Man Pro. He has also came in 3rd, 5th, and 2nd place at the Mr. Olympia in the years of '08, '09, and '10, respectively. His desire is to be one of the greatest of all time, and with a body like he has, he is well on his way.
